Did you see the St. Joseph News-Press on Sunday, February 21st? Show Me Women Who Care made the Diem section with it's picture of the check presentation to Community Action Partnership! Here is what Rachel McCoy has to say about it:

"If you'd like to see more pics of how the Show Me gift is helping families out of poverty, and what our programs are doing, please join our Facebook page for Community Action Partnership. We try to post weekly...it's really cool to see the kids and families out there doing what they can to get to stability. Here's the link:
Thanks again to all of you for your generous gifts - it was exactly the right time to help many families get on their feet!
Sincerely,
Rachel McCoy

What Show Me Women Who Care is all about!

You are invited to share in the mission of Show Me Women Who Care.

Show Me Women Who Care is just that – women who care deeply about the community of Andrew and Buchanan Counties and who strive to make a difference and provide for those in greatest human need. The association was born with the ideas that there is strength in numbers and when women put their minds together something great can be accomplished. When a friend of mine from Dayton, Ohio told me about the women she collaborates with in a similar organization I realized I know dozens of women who care in the St. Joseph area. We can do this! It will take caring women who tell their friends and associates. Women like you! I hope you share my enthusiasm about the possibilities this project offers our community and will read the information attached.

Show Me Women Who Care is simply about women of Andrew and Buchanan Counties meeting four times a year, three women explain a local cause, all those in attendance vote, and we write our checks to fund the winning cause. This is all done in less than one hour! Sounds pretty easy doesn’t it? It is! It works in at least four other cities I know of in the US. Great needs are being filled because of women who care like you!

Don’t have time in your busy life to volunteer? Want to help those in need? Are you involved with a charity and see the potential of this group helping to accomplish projects your charity would like to complete? Your participation in Show Me Women Who Care will provide the opportunity for your generous donation to become part of a larger amount to assist a local charity you help select. One hundred percent of the donations go to charity. Communications are done via e-mail. We meet and donate quarterly—think of the impact a potential donation of $10,000 four times a year could mean to our local area.
