The giving continues!

August, 2008 - $2400 Barb Eddins championed America’s Second Harvest Backback Buddies program which supplies a backpack of easy to fix food to children who live below the poverty level every Friday during the school year. The members could designate which county they wanted their donation to support.

November, 2008 - $2850 Linda Judah championed the Social Welfare Board’s “Home Unit” to receive funding. This project seeks to help homeless people with basic necessities of personal hygiene along with documentation to help in their reception of social services.

February, 2009 - $3620 Jennifer Rhoad explained the help given by The Center where Professional Counseling/ Psychological & Psychiatric Services are provided to anyone needing their services. She said the money would be used for their resource center materials. Just a few of the areas people may contact The Center concerning are relationship difficulties, loss and grief, chronic pain, depression and parenting skills.
